Silent Rivers Enhances Des Moines Arts Festival® VIP Experience with Creative Cafe

Des Moines, IA — June 18, 2018 – With the Des Moines Arts Festival® just days away, patrons are buzzing with news of the Creative Cafe, the newest addition to the private luxury of the Silent Rivers VIP Club and Hospitality Suites. This relaxed gallery space is home to DMAF Curated: Resonant FiELDS, an exhibit and creative experience curated by Silent Rivers owner and artist Chaden Halfhill. The exhibit features select works by five DMAF artists as the backdrop for presenter-led arts and culture conversations held over Mars Cafe coffee. 

"Curation of the art we select for our homes provides a deeper narrative about why we purchase and collect, generating a collective story about the artwork and our relationship with it,” said Chaden Halfhill, artist, sculptor and founder of Silent Rivers Design+Build. “We’re an artistically-minded bunch, so it’s only fitting that we continue to support Des Moines Arts Festival for a sixth year by highlighting the festival’s artists.”

Designed and built by Silent Rivers, the suites are sustainably made with repurposed wood, scrap product, old doors and a compressed paper material called Richlite. “Our focus on using sustainable materials not only helps minimize waste from the Festival, but also provides a contemporary and chic look for the space,” said Halfhill.

The Creative Cafe will also provide programming throughout the three-day Festival. The lineup is as follows:
