Plains Angels is a group of accredited angel investors whose mission is to seek out startup investment opportunities for members in early-stage companies seeking rapid growth. It provides a platform for its members to view and exchange information about investment opportunities in high-potential, early-stage and emerging growth companies.

Who Are the Angels?
Plains Angels is an initiative of the Greater Des Moines Partnership and was founded in 2012 by co-founders and co-managers Mike Colwell and Tej Dhawan. Angels can be full-time angel investors and serial entrepreneurs. Some are CEOs, CTOs, founders, presidents and board members while others are retirees with the passion for innovation as an investor.
