Iowa’s seminal graffiti writing exhibition returns for its 3rd installment of incredible, free-hand, aerosol artwork from local, regional and nationally recognized graffiti writers, in downtown Des Moines.

Des Moines, IA — Hosted once again by the Des Moines Social Club, and coordinated by the nationally recognized Scarce Elementz Crew, Color Codes 3 will dedicate the daylight hours of August 24th & 25th to graffiti culture, as Iowa’s capitol city celebrates the return of the state’s largest live art exhibition which specifically spotlights the free-hand creation of spray painted murals, without the aid of brushes, straight-edges, or stencils.  Over a two-day period, more than 25 seasoned graffiti writers hailing from Iowa, Chicago, L.A, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Denver, New Mexico, Minneapolis, etc, will participate in a live aerosol art exhibition, creating large scale murals in downtown Des Moines, all to the backdrop of live, traditional turntable  mixing on  back-to-back Iowa summer evenings, provided by the metro’s finest turntablists.
