Iowa Caucus Consortium Announces Candidate Forum Series
GREATER DES MOINES, IA (Aug 27, 2019) – The Iowa Caucus Consortium’s first Candidate Forum Series Presented by Bank of America event for the 2020 cycle will feature Joe Sestak, former member of the U.S. House of Representatives representing Pennsylvania’s 7th Congressional District from 2007 – 2011. The event will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 4 from 7:30 – 9 a.m. at the State Historical Building.
The Candidate Forum Series is an effort to allow Greater Des Moines (DSM) community members and business leaders the chance to learn about and interact with presidential candidates. Events are free and open to the public. Candidates are allotted time to speak to the audience and then open up a question-and-answer session. The Candidate Forum Series is supported by Bank of America as the presenting sponsor and National Skills Coalition’s Voices for Skills and the Iowa Biotechnology Association as supporting sponsors.
John Delaney, former member of the U.S. House of Representatives representing Maryland’s 6th Congressional District from 2013 – 2019, is scheduled to present on Thursday, Oct. 17 from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. More events will be announced as they are confirmed.
