Mercy College Celebrates Record Fall Enrollment
(Des Moines, IA) — Mercy College of Health Sciences celebrates a record number of students who applied for admittance for the fall 2018 semester. Applications totaled 1,054, an 8.5% increase over 2017.
252 of those applicants enrolled at Mercy College resulting in the second largest new student enrollment for any term in the college’s history.
“There is great need for healthcare professionals in our communities and across the country,” Mercy College President, Dr. Douglas Fiore remarked. “Our unique community partnerships enable us to provide students with the necessary education and clinical rotations. With our history dating back to 1899, it’s hard to break records, but we look forward to exceeding enrollment targets for terms to come.”
As of early November, spring applications and new student projections are expected to exceed past historical records.
The spring semester starts January 7, 2019 and applications are still being accepted.
