Lithia Volkswagen of Des Moines Providing Vehicles for Prescription Deliveries

Des Moines, Iowa (April 13, 2020) — Lithia Volkswagen of Des Moines is providing free use of vehicles to help local pharmacies deliver much-needed prescriptions during this time.

“We heard about an increased demand for prescription deliveries, and we knew we could help,” said Ron Anderko, General Manager for the store. “We’re happy to support Medicap Pharmacies in making these essential deliveries that enable people to stay home and stay safe.”

Lithia Volkwagen of Des Moines will provide additional vehicles for prescription deliveries in the three surrounding communities with the largest increase in demand due to COVID-19. Those communities include Beaverdale in Des Moines, Altoona and Grimes.

“As a local business, we want to make a positive impact in these challenging times,” said Georan Churchill, Business Development Manager. “We believe in the #WeNotMe movement, that we are all stronger when we support one another.”

The vehicles provided are loaner vehicles typically used for customers who drop their cars off for service. Lithia Volkswagen of Des Moines is currently open and following all CDC guidelines for sanitization, hygiene and social distancing.
