DART to Donate Three Vans to Local Nonprofits
Local nonprofit organizations, community groups or government agencies within DART’s service area are invited to apply to receive one of three retired RideShare vans. The DART Commission created the annual van donation program in 2014 to assist agencies in providing transportation to those who may not have access to public transportation. Applications for this year’s donation cycle are due on Monday, Nov. 19.
“Over the past three years, DART has donated retired RideShare vans to provide organizations that help a diverse group of central Iowans with a reliable means of transportation. We’re looking forward to awarding three new, deserving organizations with these vehicles,” shares DART Chief External Affairs Officer Amanda Wanke.
The application, rules, requirements and selection criteria for the program are available on DART’s website. Interested parties must submit their application before 5 p.m. on Nov. 19.
