2018 House of Mercy Game Show Gala Details Announced
DES MOINES, IOWA — The 2018 House of Mercy Game Show Gala details have been announced. The ninth annual fundraising event, presented by Nationwide and produced by Mercy Foundation, will take place 6-9 p.m. Thursday, June 14, 2018 at the Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center in Downtown Des Moines.
The annual Gala is a fun-spirited game show-style fundraiser for House of Mercy, one of Iowa’s largest and most comprehensive providers of vital services for persons with substance use disorders, especially parenting women with children.
This year’s co-chairs are Monica and Rob Friedman, and Denis and Tami Frischmeyer.
“We are very much looking forward to this year’s House of Mercy Game Show Gala,” said Monica Friedman, Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Nationwide. “We understand the deep and meaningful impact House of Mercy has on the most vulnerable in our community and we are excited to strengthen our impact this year.”
“It is my pleasure to co-chair this premier event that transforms lives right here in our community,” said Denis Frischmeyer, President of Downing Construction, a host sponsor for this year’s event. “Quality care affects a community, and we are excited to use the funds in meaningful ways that have lasting impact on our House of Mercy clients.”
Established in 2010, the House of Mercy Game Show Gala has raised more than $1.2 million for House of Mercy. In fiscal year 2017, House of Mercy served 3,724 clients through recovery, halfway housing, permanent housing, adolescent group living, substance abuse and mental health treatment.
