Kicking Off - or Teeing Off - Summer with the 2022 Principal Charity Classic

The annual Principal Charity Classic is a crown jewel event in DSM. This is one of my favorite events of the year, and as a member of the Board of Directors I see firsthand the impact the Principal Charity Classic has on our community. Since 2007, the tournament has raised $37 million, setting a record in 2021 of $7.3 million to support programming and services to its Tournament Charity Partners, including Blank Children’s Hospital, MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center, United Way of Central Iowa and Variety – the Children’s Charity of Iowa.
In 2022, the PGA TOUR Champions will return to Greater Des Moines (DSM) — specifically, Wakonda Club overlooking Downtown — to tee off beginning Friday, June 3. The weekend-long tournament offers a variety of ticket options, including a single ticket, group ticket package, a Fareway Club ticket with VIP experience, a military/veterans ticket with exclusive access to the grounds and more, and a VIP parking pass. A limited number of tickets are available for the free military/veterans tickets, and don’t forget that kids under 15 are free with a ticketed adult. You don’t even have to be a golf fan to enjoy the event. It's a fun way to spend time in an outdoor setting with friends and family while supporting charity.
