Introducing YPC's New Event Series... "NEXT: Des Moines"
Last week, YPC unveiled a new event series called “NEXT: Des Moines.” The three-part series — a collaboration with Juice Magazine — aims at addressing the big question in many YPs’ minds… What’s next?
The series will begin next Tuesday with “NEXT: Your City,” where you’ll be able to learn about ways to get involved NOW to make an impact on the future of Des Moines. In July, “NEXT: Your Network” will feature past winners of both Juice’s YP of the Year Award and YPC’s Amy Jennings YP of the Year Award and Ashley Oakland Community Service Award. And in October, a to-be-named “NEXT” event will encourage YPs to “Dream. Think. Do.” with Mitch Matthews and his BIG Dream Gathering.
This is an exciting new project for YPC. The NEXT events are designed highlight the pillars of YPC: civic, charitable, social and professional development endeavors. It’s a chance for us to collaborate externally with the community and form partnerships that make our programming bigger and better. And it’s an opportunity to collaborate internally among our board... Each event is being planned by a team of board and committee members, so you know they’re going to be great!
