Save The Date For The Greater Des Moines Regional Summit
GREATER DES MOINES, IA (May 6, 2024) – The Greater Des Moines Partnership has announced the date and location for the inaugural Regional Summit slated to take place on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2024, at the Iowa State Fairgrounds William C. Knapp Varied Industries Building.
First announced at The Partnership's 2024 Annual Dinner, the Regional Summit will provide opportunities for community, business and civic leaders in the 11-county Greater Des Moines (DSM) region to connect, learn and collaborate on forward-thinking solutions. Event programming will foster dialogue and strategies that address various opportunities and challenges faced by rural, urban and suburban communities, with the goal of working together to advance DSM as a top region for economic development and talent development.
“At its core, building a stronger region is rooted in relationships, and that’s what the Regional Summit is all about,” said Tiffany Tauscheck, President & CEO of the Greater Des Moines Partnership. “We’ve heard feedback from our Investors, Affiliate Chambers of Commerce and Members on an eagerness to strengthen connections between communities in our region, sharing more ideas and ways to problem-solve together. Our region has a great deal of momentum and our ability to work collaboratively to advance growth in Greater Des Moines is a key to differentiating ourselves from others and having a competitive region where businesses and people want to be.”
Additionally, participants are invited to attend The Partnership's annual Economic Impact Awards following the Regional Summit programming. A 40-year tradition, the Economic Impact Awards recognize local companies for their contribution toward the economic and community vitality of DSM.
Programming and speakers for the Regional Summit will be announced at a later date. Please save the date and register here.
