Partnership Urges Leadership and Businesses to Support #DSMstrong Community

The Partnership continues to closely monitor the changing developments of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), as well as its impact on the Greater Des Moines (DSM) region and you — our valued stakeholders. Our top priority is the health and safety of the people who live here, work here, do business here.

With this in mind, we want to make you aware of Governor Reynolds’ issuance of a State of Public Health Disaster Emergency for Iowa. The Governor’s proclamation requires the closing of certain businesses including bars, recreational facilities, fitness facilities, casinos and other public venues, as well as changes to restaurant service offerings including moving to drive-through, carry-out and delivery only. Please see the proclamation for additional details.

In addition, please consider the following actions to further exemplify leadership within our community:

  • Take our survey as soon as possible. We are looking for your feedback on how your organization is being affected, how you are addressing the situation and what The Partnership can do to help.
  • Help us share ideas and encouragement with our community. Please add a comment on our social media posts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to share creative ways you are supporting others and our local community, while social distancing, during the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Additionally, let’s cultivate a feeling of strength and unity for our residents, including our healthcare workers. Please join us in using the hashtag #DSMstrong across your social media channels.
