Partnership, Capital Crossroads and Young Professionals Connection to Host Public Policy Issue on Broadband

GREATER DES MOINES, IA (March 23, 2021) – The Greater Des Moines Partnership, Capital Crossroads and Young Professionals Connection (YPC) will host a Public Policy Issue Forum on the topic of broadband on Tuesday, April 20 at Noon. The Public Policy Issue Forum Series is a bimonthly series being held throughout 2021 to explore issues impacting Greater Des Moines (DSM).

Each forum includes conversations with experts who will provide insight surrounding the policy implications of that priority issue. The Public Policy Issue Forum on Broadband will feature a panel discussion on Iowa's efforts to expand access to affordable and quality broadband. Panelists will include:

  • Laura Smith, Chief Information Officer, UnityPoint Health
  • Annette Dunn, Director/CIO, State of Iowa Office of Chief Information Officer Moderator
  • Dave Price, Reporter, WHOTV

Future forums will take place every other month on the third Tuesday of the month (with the exception of December), including: June 15, Aug. 17, Oct. 19 and Dec. 14.
