Partnership, Capital Crossroads and Young Professionals Connection to Host Public Policy Issue Forum on Community Placemaking
GREATER DES MOINES, IA (Jun. 2, 2021) – The Greater Des Moines Partnership, Capital Crossroads and Young Professionals Connection (YPC) will host a Public Policy Issue Forum on the topic of community placemaking on Tuesday, June 15 at Noon. The Public Policy Issue Forum Series is a bimonthly series being held throughout 2021 to explore issues impacting Greater Des Moines (DSM).
The Public Policy Issue Forum on Community Placemaking will feature a panel discussion on the public-private partnership approach to the planning, design and management of public spaces throughout the State of Iowa.
Panelists will include:
- Sally Dix, Executive Director, Bravo Greater Des Moines
- Tom Hadden, City Manager, City of West Des Moines
- Rachael Kinnick, President and CEO, Grinnell Chamber of Commerce
- Bethany Wilcoxon, Senior Advisor, McClure Engineering Company, Moderator

Future forums will take place every other month on the third Tuesday of the month (with the exception of December), including: Aug. 17, Oct. 19 and Dec. 14.
