Partnership Announces Promotions of Courtney Shaw, Renae Mauk

GREATER DES MOINES, IA (Aug. 21, 2023) – The Greater Des Moines Partnership has announced the promotion of two team members. 

Courtney Shaw has been promoted to Chief Communications Officer. In this role, Shaw will continue to lead the organization’s communications and marketing team and expand her role to assist with organizational planning. Shaw has worked at The Partnership since 2019, and has most recently served as the Senior Vice President for Communications since 2021, leading initiatives and programs that tell the DSM USA story, as well as marketing strategies that elevate the region’s quality of life offerings to current and potential employees and employers alike. Recently, Shaw’s leadership helped The Partnership receive a national communications award from the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE).

Renae Mauk will be promoted to Vice President of Downtown Development. In this role, Mauk will continue to lead the organization’s Downtown economic development efforts and take an expanded role in leading special projects to ensure continued growth in alignment with the Downtown DSM: Future Forward Vision Plan and Action Plan. Mauk has worked at The Partnership since March as Senior Director of Downtown Development.
