Dee Zee to Manufacture BrightDrop eLCV Components

Des Moines, IA, September 13th, 2022 – With a growing electric vehicle (EV) market, Dee Zee is excited to announce they will be manufacturing structural and exterior components for the BrightDrop Zevo 600 and Zevo. Dee Zee has been a manufacturer of truck accessories in Des Moines, IA since 1977.

The Zevo 600 and Zevo 400 will be assembled by General Motors at their CAMI Assembly Plant in Ingersol, Ontario. They are the first 100% electric delivery vans. FedEx and Walmart will be the first companies to implement this game changing EV platform for their delivery services as they strive to become carbon-neutral. The new program will add 52 skilled manufacturing jobs in Q1 of 2023 and an additional 105 jobs by Q3 2023. Dee Zee is constructing a new 47,000 sq. ft. production facility in Pleasant Hill, IA and dedicating another 80,000 sq. ft. of existing space to manufacture the components.
