Q&A
What’s a day in your job like? Every day is a new day, a little bit different each day, which makes it unique and entertaining.
What are your passions outside of work? I want to make a difference in the community. I started from scratch when I first moved to the United States without knowing the language and culture. I could not be where I am now without the support, help and encouragement along the way from so many individuals. Now is time to pay it forward with being involved and volunteering as much as I can. I want to make an impact and make sure that the future generation will have a better life. One of the many reasons why and how I YPC.
When you’re not at work, what will we find you doing? I like food, especially sushi, trying different restaurants, and spending time with friends. Gray’s Lake, in Gray's Landing, is awesome in the spring, summer and fall, so I will be running around there a lot, and Kosama is my best friend.
Where’s your favorite (something) in Greater Des Moines (DSM)? Des Moines Farmers' Market, CelebrAsian, Iowa Cubs and 515 Alive Music Festival
What are your words to live by? “I’ve always seen life like a series of doors. Sometimes you get to choose the door you go through, sometimes you don’t get that choice, but you still gotta walk through it. So, you can either go kicking and screaming or walk through with your head held high.” Jay Pritchett — Modern Family (which is one of my favorite shows)
