  • What To Do: Kick off the holiday season with Light Up Polk City on Friday, Dec. 6, 2024, when the town square transforms with dazzling lights. Enjoy a countdown to the lighting, a performance by the North Polk fifth grade band, live reindeer, hot chocolate and activities hosted by local businesses. Look out for Santa and Mrs. Claus, warm up by the firepits, enjoy open houses and take a horse-drawn carriage ride around town. On Saturday, Dec. 7, 2024, bring the kids to Luana Savings Bank to meet Santa, enjoy treats and participate in fun activities.
