Leading in Times of Challenge with Dr. Angela Franklin

Des Moines University (DMU) President Dr. Angela Franklin speaks on applying lessons learned to the COVID-19 pandemic. A licensed clinical psychologist with more than 25 years of experience in higher education, Dr. Franklin also chairs or has chaired on various nonprofit boards.

Dr. Franklin's Leadership Tips

Dr. Franklin has already experienced challenges related to COVID-19, with cancellations of events such as graduation, as well as moving the entire campus to working through online instruction. This includes students in clinical settings who have been impacted. DMU is working to re-imagine and simulate online what those students might be missing. She speaks on the resiliency of the student body, as well as the transitioning of essential services.
