Finishing Up a Great 2012 with YPC
While it was a fairly quiet week for YPC events, there's a lot of exciting things coming up to round out the year. It's hard to believe 2012 is already almost at a close! As the year ends, check out ways to get involved with YPC in November and December.
Upcoming Events
1. End of Year Sale — Buy YPC Gear
You voted on the design and now you can buy our new design on t-shirts, long sleeve tees, and hoodies in multiple colors. But make sure you order your stuff soon — the sale ends Nov. 19. So show your YPC pride and order your gear today!
2. Save the Date for the Annual Event
This year's celebration will be held at the World Food Prize Hall of Laureates, one of the premiere venues in the state. Don't miss this opportunity to experience this incredible space, network, and hear more about YPC's accomplishments in 2012. Come early to enjoy cocktails and hors 'douevres. Doors open at 5:30 and the meeting begins at 6:30.
3. Give Back.
We'll be hosting a toy drive through the month of November and will have a food drive at the Annual Event. Join us for a warm bowl of chili to benefit Anawim Housing at our Chili for Charity event on Nov. 28.
4. Celebrate Democracy (or at least the end of political ads)
YPC will co-host the DSM Vote party in conjunction with Proof, Google, Des Moines Social Club, and Startup City on Nov. 6. Live results, networking, giveaways, and free food and (2) drinks will make this a night to remember, no matter who wins!
5. Get involved! There are tons of events in November where you can celebrate everything from beer and wine to diversity. Be sure to check out the YPC calendar of events to plan out your month.
