Siricasso De Mayo
Saturday, May 11 | Teehee’s Comedy Club
Local painter and muralist, Siricasso, is collaborating with TeeHee’s for a unique Cinco De Mayo celebration! Admission includes an 8x10 canvas — select either pre-outlined or blank — so you can create your own artwork alongside Siricasso. The night will also feature comedy, live music, food, cocktails and more. Hosted by Siricasso and Jorge Ramirez, and sponsored by Latinos in Action.

Birding Basics
Wednesdays through May 29 | Gray’s Lake
Search for migrating and residential birds with other beginners and experienced bird watchers. Birds such as the yellow-rumped warbler, Baltimore Oriole and Scarlet Tanager may be among the species spotted along the trail! Attendees can bring their own binoculars or scopes or borrow on-site from Des Moines Parks and Recreation. The event is free to attend.

Iowa Hawkeye Baseball vs. Florida International University
Thursday, May 16, Friday, May 17 and Saturday, May 18 | Principal Park
Three days, three games and two teams going head-to-head. The Iowa Hawkeyes baseball team will play the Florida International Panthers right here in Downtown Des Moines. Single-game tickets and full series packages are available for purchase.
