Holiday Promenade

For DSM Visitors and Residents Who are Ready to Celebrate the Holiday Season Historic East Village, Downtown DSM Admission: Free and Open to the Public

In Downtown Des Moines (DSM), the holiday season officially begins with the annual Holiday Promenade! The Holiday Promenade welcomes guests to the Historic East Village where local shops stay open late for holiday shopping and specials and is typically held on Friday evenings between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Additionally, tree lighting, ice sculpture carving and a visit from Old St. Nick create a festive scene, bringing the magic of the season to Downtown DSM. There are carolers throughout each week, too!

Other Holiday Promenade activities are planned to create a family-friendly event for all ages, and shopping is encouraged.
