On Saturday, November 21, the Drive-Through Winter Farmers’ and Makers’ Market will offer end-of-the-season produce and holiday gifts from local artists and makers. Shop the Drive-Through Winter Online Marketplace and add items to your cart that you can pick up at the event.

Where to Shop + Pick Up Items
You can pick up your items at the Principal Park parking lot, 1 Line Drive, in Downtown Des Moines (DSM). Market staff ask that shoppers stay in vehicles at all times so vendors can safely complete transactions and load purchases.

Kathleen and Gary Hoard own Kat’s Garden and Gary Hoard Photography. The couple is excited to offer items at the Market and do their own shopping as well.
“We are very excited to be participating in the Winter Farmer's and Maker's Market this year. The market is always a great time to find locally grown, made and produced items in time for the holidays ahead. We always do a lot of Christmas shopping there ourselves! This year is super special because you can view the items online ahead of the market so it's a more leisurely shopping experience, and then just pick them up at the actual Drive-Through Market Nov 21.”

Darla Best is eager to get her baskets to the Winter Market. Gingerich Amish Baskets offers a product that started as a family tradition that continues to be passed through each generation.
“I was so happy to be invited to be a part of the upcoming market. I’ve really missed meeting new customers and visiting with returning ones during the summer and fall. And I’m excited to offer a variety of beautiful items that are handcrafted by Amish families who live near the Iowa/Missouri border.”

Find sustainable specialty products, including wholesale bakery items, jams and more. Barb and Steve Pethoud of Barbs Garden & Pantry are looking forward to attending the Winter Market to thank customers for their support this year.

Quilted Gardens & Nursery
Specializing in unusual perennials, landscaping design and installation and garden seminars, Quilted Gardens & Nursery is now offering holiday items at the Winter Market.
“We are showcasing one of our completed fresh-made wreaths, along with a partially completed one. In addition, we are highlighting an assortment of glass and free trade gourd ornaments and Iowa made door bells and straps that we always enjoy bringing to the Winter Market.”
Bearded Brothers Coffee
At Bearded Brothers Coffee, you’ll find locally roasted coffees from Winterset, Iowa, including Bali Blue Moon in both light and dark roasts, Quarantine French Roast, Tanzanian Peaberry and more.

Find cinnamon rolls, Dutch letters, focaccia in various varieties and an assortment of breads and granola from Big Sky Bread Co. at the Winter Market. Co-owner Amy Reynolds loves the festive feeling of winter markets and the support from customers during the holidays.

Maddy Fusco is only attending one market this year — the Drive-Through Winter Farmers’ and Makers’ Market! She is eager to show off new embroidery work and see customers face-to-face.
“I can’t wait to participate in the Winter Market because I’ve terribly missed talking with customers face-to-face and having that personal connection with those going out and supporting local makers. Having the opportunity to do so in a safe way means so much. This will be my only market this year, and I’m excited to share what I’ve been working on!”
