Taste Hawaiian Grill's Spam Musubi at the 2021 World Food & Music Festival

Hawaiian Grill specializes in Hawaiian and Polynesian food, specifically marination and sauces. Owner Nay Baccam brought the concept of Hawaiian cuisine to Greater Des Moines (DSM) back in 2009 after noticing a lack of Hawaiian food and flavors in the region and to ensure that the cuisine did not fade away.

Baccam initially chose to become a vendor at the World Food & Music Festival on Sept. 17 – 19, 2021 in Downtown DSM in order to expand her product, introduce this concept to a wider audience and get to know a variety of people. The Hawaiian Grill owner is a people person who enjoys the opportunity to meet different nationalities, or clientele, by attending various DSM events. Through her participation in events across many locations around the region, she embraces the opportunity to serve and speak with all types of people.

What to Expect at the World Food & Music Festival

At the Festival, Hawaiian Grill will showcase its popular Hawaiian Spam Musubi, grilled Spam to enhance the taste, on top of a bed of rice, wrapped with seaweed with house special sauce. Baccam focuses on unique marination at Hawaiian Grill in order to bring out bold flavors in her entrees, appetizers and more. Other World Food & Music Festival menu items that will be offered at the event include the Hawaiian BBQ chicken, crab Rangoon and egg rolls served with pineapple sauce. Each product will be topped with Hawaiian Grill’s famous house seasoning sauce, of which Baccam’s customers have asked her to sell in stores. She has no plans to do so in order to keep the standard of sauce freshness at a high level, which means you won’t want to miss out on the opportunity to taste this special sauce at the 2021 World Food & Music Festival.
