Momentum Arts, CSA’s award-winning program, empowers individuals with disabilities or mental health conditions through the transformative power of art. The exhibition, juried by artist Gabriella Torres, challenges stigmas and showcases talented artists of all abilities. Capital City Pride Speaker Series: Blair Imani

Capital City Pride’s 2024-2025 Speaker Series continues with a conversation with Blair Imani. Blair is an influential speaker, author and educator known for her viral web series Smarter in Seconds and insightful books like Read This to Get Smarter. With a focus on intersectionality, gender studies and race, her work has been praised by The New York Times for its engaging and vibrant presentation. Blair has lectured at prestigious institutions like Oxford and Harvard and has collaborated with icons such as Jane Fonda and Dr. Kimberlé Crenshaw. A fierce advocate for women, global Black communities and the LGBTQ+ community, she also co-owns beauty brand Fempower Beauty and serves on the Tegan and Sara Foundation’s Board of Directors. The event is free, but you must have a ticket to get in – so be sure to reserve your spot.
