Central Standard — Central Standard’s Waukee location offers pints of craft beer from around the state. Stop in from Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. or Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m.
Confluence Brewing Co. — This southside Des Moines brewery makes beer for the DSM community. Grab a pint during open hours: Monday through Wednesday from 4 – 10 p.m., Thursday from Noon to 10 p.m., Friday from Noon to 11 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Destination Grille — Kinship and Confluence drafts are seasonally rotated at Destination Grille in Grimes. Purchase the most recent option Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. or 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
Dough Co. Pizza — Visit Dough Co. Pizza locations in the Drake neighborhood of Des Moines or in Ankeny. Order a slice to go with your craft beer! Open Monday through Thursday and Sunday 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. or Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m.
Fenders Brewing — If you’re in Polk City, grab a pint from Fenders, a local non craft brewery. Fenders is opne Wednesday and Thursday from 4 to 9 p.m., Friday from 4 to 10 p.m., Saturday from Noon until 10 p.m. and Sunday from Noon until 7 p.m.
Firetrucker Brewery — Firetrucker in Ankeny has got the brews for you! Sip on one on the outdoor patio when you visit Tuesday through Thursday from 3 to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from Noon to 11 p.m. or Sunday from Noon to 8 p.m.
Flix Brewhouse — See a movie while you enjoy your one of 12 beers brewed at Flix Brewhouse off Merle Hay Road in Des Moines. Other beers are also available. Stop in from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. weekdays or 9 a.m. until 2 a.m. on weekends.
Great Escape — Located in Pleasant Hill, Great Escape offers craft and local beers. On Sunday through Thursday, stop in from Noon until 10 p.m., or on weekends, visit from Noon until 11 p.m.
Hessen Haus* — Try the imported German beer from Hessen Haus in the Historic Court District in Downtown DSM. Bar hours are Sunday through Thursday 11 a.m. until Midnight and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.
Lucky Horse Beer & Burgers — When in Des Moines, you’ll have your choice of locally brewed craft beer at Lucky Horse. Meet a friend to cheers to another stamp in your passport from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. Monday through Sunday — happy hour is from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.!
Magee’s Irish Pub & Eatery — Head to the Prairie Trail district in Ankeny to try what Magee’s has to offer, including their popular house beers. Hours are Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. until Midnight, Friday from 11 a.m. until 2 a.m., Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until 2 a.m. and Sunday 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m.
Reclaimed Rails Brewing Co. — A flagship or seasonal beer is waiting for you at Reclaimed Rails Brewing Co. in Bondurant, open Monday through Thursday from 4 – 10 p.m., Friday from Noon to 11 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. and Sunday from Noon to 8 p.m.
Rita’s Cantina* — Drown out your thirst at Rita’s Cantina in the Historic East Village in Downtown DSM from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. daily.
Smash Park — With locations in Pella and West Des Moines, Smash Park is easy to get to no matter where you reside in DSM. See what’s on tap at either location Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. until 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. until Midnight and Sunday from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m.
Uptown Garage Brewing Co. — The house beers, including flagship, seasonal and limited release options, are hard to beat at Uptown Garage Brewing Co. in Ankeny.
