Experience the Magic of Harry Potter Day at Principal Park

Harry Potter Day with the Iowa Cubs

August 8, 2024

On Sunday, Sept. 1, Principal Park will turn into a mythical, magical place for Harry Potter Day. While Minor League Baseball will not let the teams play Quidditch, the bats the Iowa Cubs will use to face the Memphis Redbirds at 1:08 p.m. are pretty close to broomsticks if you use your imagination.

Although our players are not allowed to don Hogwarts robes, they will wear Harry Potter-themed uniforms with the Hogwarts crest prominently displayed. Each jersey will be signed by the player who wore it, auctioned off via a live auction that will last from when doors open at Noon until the conclusion of the fifth inning and picked up postgame by the highest bidder. (Game begins at 1:08 p.m.)

Be There Early, Receive Themed Swag

The first 500 fans to enter the park will each receive a pair of Iowa Cubs and Harry Potter-themed socks upon entry. Once inside the park, fans can search for golden snitches scattered throughout the ballpark. Fans who find a snitch and bring it to the Fan Services Desk will win a prize!

Other elements of the ballpark will also reflect the Harry Potter theme including the video board and musical selections over the public address system.

Come get the same great Iowa Cubs experience you love with a hint of magic!
