Young Professionals Connection (YPC) is thrilled to announce our 11th annual Sips, Samples, and Sights signature event on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2024. This year, we are partnering with the Iowa Architectural Foundation and the Greater Des Moines Public Art Foundation to bring you an unforgettable evening in the vibrant Historic East Village of Des Moines with a sneak peak preview to the revitalization of the Market District in Downtown Des Moines (DSM).

Our 2024 event is set to shine a spotlight not just on the architectural marvels of the Historic East Village but also on the incredible public art that breathes life into our city. Guided by the experts from the Iowa Architectural Foundation, this one-of-a-kind tour includes time spent with the Executive Director of the Greater Des Moines Public Art Foundation, Alexa McCarthy, PhD.

But that's not all — we'll also explore the exciting developments in the upcoming Market District and delve into some groundbreaking architectural and engineering innovations shaping our city's future.

As we stroll through the Historic East Village, we'll make several stops, including at FEH Design, MODUS Engineering, Slingshot Architecture and Twisted Vine Brewery where you can enjoy free samplings of food and drinks. This is your chance to savor the local flavors while networking with 75 fellow young professionals from the Greater Des Moines (DSM) region.
