Family Hours at Up-Down

Sunday, Nov. 5 | Up-Down
Do your kiddos love arcade games? Do your kiddos love pizza? This Sunday, Up-Down is opening its doors for all ages between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Pizza will be available for purchase by-the-slice, and kid-friendly drinks, too! Games are just 25 cents (or one token) to play. Friendly reminder: All minors must be accompanied by an adult, age 21 or older.

Wednesday, Nov. 8 | Des Moines Performing Arts
This LA-based activist dance theater brings together art and social change, combining dance influences including Salsa, Afro-Cuban, hip-hop and contemporary dance to create a compelling and dynamic multi-modal experience. The company is unique in that it “intentionally engages diverse audiences, cultivates dancer leaders and centers stories not traditionally heard on the concert stage.” The company’s make-up ranges from dancers and artists to immigrants, educators, activists and other varied backgrounds.

Jazz on the House: NOLA Jazz Combo

Thursday, Nov. 9 | Noce
Each Thursday night, you can take advantage of Noce’s all-night happy hour! Doors open at 6 p.m. and music kicks off at 7 and continues until 10 p.m. The best part? There is no cover! This week’s musical performance includes the NOLA Jazz Combo — bringing its New Orleans jazz and blues sound to the stage all night long.
