Des Moines Metro Opera’s Wine, Food & Beer Showcase

Friday, March 3 | Des Moines Marriott Downtown
Featuring 36 of the finest restaurants, caterers, wineries, breweries and distilleries in the area, you’ll sip and savor the night away! A few of the vendors include Mash + Marrow, Tupelo Honey, Confluence Brewing Co., Peace Tree, Purveyor, Allora Café, Mad Meatball and many more. Tickets are available in advance or at the door. Proceeds support Des Moines Metro Opera’s award-winning education and community engagement programs.

Iowa Deer Classic

Friday, March 3 – Sunday, March 5 | Iowa Events Center
Explore rows and rows of incredible deer mounts and prized antler sheds. Try out the latest in archery equipment and shop hunting gear, accessories, clothing and more. Bring your bow for 300 and 3D shoots, attend world-class seminars and check out many fun and engaging activities for kids, too!

Full Moon Snowshoe Hike

Tuesday, March 7 | MacRae Park
If there is snow, take a walk through the newly renovated park under the light of the full moon with Des Moines Parks and Recreation leading the pack! Pre-registration and a $5 sign-up fee provide each participant with access to a set of snowshoes and a cup of hot cocoa after the hike. If you’ve always wanted to snowshoe but haven’t had the chance to try it, this is a great opportunity with helpful hands on-site to guide you!
