5 Booths to Visit to Celebrate World Chocolate Day

When you think of the Downtown Farmers’ Market, these words might not be what first comes to mind, but with World Chocolate Day happening on Friday, July 7, we encourage you to consider them as you make your way from booth to booth this Saturday. Several of our vendors offer chocolate products, including coffee, giant-sized cookies, gluten-free cake and more.

Coffalo Coffee

At Coffalo, grab some of the “Mighty Buffalo,” a Honduran dark roast with flavors of dark chocolate, red apple and dried fruit. The booth is located on the west side of Fourth Street, north of Court Avenue. LEARN MORE>

Grab a giant-sized cookie — or a few! — filled with something chocolate when you visit the Iowa Cookie Co. booth located on the south side of the 300 block of Court Avenue. LEARN MORE>

Nadia's French Bakery, LLC

Have you tasted the chocolate croissants from the Altoona-based Nadia's? If not, you're in for a treat! Stop by the booth on the east side of Fourth Street, south of Court Avenue. LEARN MORE>

O So Good Winery

Did you know that Market vendor O So Good Winery offers several dessert wines featuring hints of chocolate? Try the Chocolate Cherry, Chocolate Orange or Chocolate Raspberry to accompany your favorite dessert. The booth is located on the east side of Fourth Street, north of Court Avenue. LEARN MORE>

Vander Ploeg Bakery

Located on the south side of the 100 block of Court Avenue, is the Vander Ploeg Bakery booth. Try a chocolate Bismark or long john while you can! LEARN MORE>
