Downtown DSM Outdoor Movie Night

Greater Des Moines (DSM) residents and guests are invited to attend an outdoor movie event in Downtown DSM on Friday, August 27, beginning at dusk (approximately 8 p.m.). Admission is free to the public and attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs to sit on the grass of Western Gateway Park, between 12th and 13th Streets, for the showing of the movie "Little Giants."

This family-friendly pop-up event is an opportunity for people of all ages to enjoy the final days of summer in an outdoor environment. Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase, and attendees are encouraged to dine at local restaurants and support local businesses prior to attending the movie. "Little Giants" will be shown on a 25-foot portable screen and is rated PG.

This activation is part of The Partnership's Glad You're Here  |  Love Downtown DSM series to encourage residents to explore Downtown DSM as more people begin to participate in Downtown activities and events.

If inclement weather occurs, the event will be canceled. A decision will be made by 5 p.m. day-of the showing. Check the Downtown DSM Outdoor Movie Night Facebook event for updates and information.
