The Southwestern Community College (SWCC) Chamber Singers from Creston, Iowa, will present a Christmas concert on Thursday, November 29, at 7:30 p.m. in the sanctuary of Central Presbyterian Church, at 3829 Grand Avenue in Des Moines. For several years the choir has entertained the Des Moines community with presentations of a wide variety of music for the holidays. This year, the Chamber Singers will perform Holiday Carols in Concert, containing masterworks by J.S. Bach, Shaw, Hogan, Rachmaninoff and Mattson, as well as pieces written by director Ryan Howe. The public is invited to attend. The SWCC Chamber Singers feature the amazing voices of students, from across the United States and Canada, who have come to SWCC in Creston to attend the college's School for Music Vocations. A free-will offering will be accepted at the concert. Be sure to mark your calendars for this annual event at Central. This concert is sure to begin your season of Advent celebrations with excitement and anticipation!
