Hoyt Sherman Place boasts one of Des Moines' most magnificent entertainment facilities. The family home, built in 1877 by Hoyt Sherman, was expanded over the years to include an art gallery and historic theater. Today, Hoyt Sherman Place is more active than ever hosting a variety of events each year.
