Q&A
What’s a day in your job like? The first of the month, I spend a lot of my time compiling financial reports for our partners on performance metrics. The second half of the month is usually full of projects and other Ad Hoc reporting that I need to finish up!
What are your passions outside of work? When you’re not at work, what will we find you doing? I enjoy biking, reading, watching new documentaries on Netflix, and attempting to play sand volleyball. I’m trying my best to be a “green thumb” and learn how to cook.
Where’s your favorite (something) in Greater Des Moines (DSM)? I love the bike trails around Waterworks Park!
What is something you would like to see added or changed about Des Moines? I would like to see Des Moines expand on their recycling and “green” options. I think this city has so much potential!
What are your words to live by? “There are no little events in life; those we think of no consequence may be full of fate.” — Amelia Barr
What projects have you been involved with in YPC? I helped with the Impact Downtown Committee when I first joined, and recently helped with the NEXT: Your Money project we did in 2015.
