Membership May
Greetings from the Membership Committee! May is going to be a very busy month for us as we are hosting the 1st Quarterly Connection event of 2012 and launching our 2012 Membership Drive Month. The Quarterly Connection will be held this Thursday, May 3, at the Des Moines Social Club from 6–8 p.m. We are excited about utilizing this new space and getting a chance to share all the wonderful things Young Professionals Connection (YPC) has done since the Annual Meeting.
Quarterly Connection
The Membership Committee has decided to implement a new format for the Quarterly Connection. Instead of having all the committee chairs present to the group as a whole, we have decided to divide the attendees into smaller groups that will rotate through interactive stations. The YPC committee chairs have been hard at work devising engaging and thought-provoking activities for you all to engage in. The groups will spend 7–10 minutes at each table. We ask that attendees pose questions, participate and take this opportunity to learn about the YPC committees, their events and ways to get involved! As always, there will be networking and socializing at the beginning and YPC President Mike Banasiak will give an overview of YPC’s accomplishments in the first quarter.
Membership Drive
Moving on to our other springtime endeavor, it’s time for Membership Drive Month! Encourage your friends to join YPC during the month of May and get the chance to win amazing prizes, which will be given to the top three referrers. In order for the active YPC member to receive credit, the new member MUST enter that name when prompted during the online sign-up process. With the help of Emilee (Social Media Coordinator), a few YPC members starred in a short clip about how to list a referring YPC member when a new member signs up to join. Look for the premiere of the video at the Quarterly Connection on Thursday. In the meantime, get out there a recruit more awesome YPCers!
