A New Year, A New YPC Board in DSM

It’s a new year, new board for the Young Professionals Connection (YPC), an initiative of the Greater Des Moines Partnership that seeks to help its members grow personally and professionally and connect with the community. On Sunday, Aug. 7, the YPC board will hold its annual board retreat where board members will discuss their strategic priorities for the year. Prior to the retreat, we asked each board member what they’re looking forward to seeing happen as they take the reins on helping to shape Greater Des Moines (DSM) for the next generation of young professionals in 2022-2023.

Board members aren’t the only ones involved with YPC. These elected members are eager to find YPC members who share their passion. With nine committees — Athletics, Civic, Diversity and Culture, Impact Downtown, Marketing, Membership, Professional Development, Social and Volunteer — there are many more opportunities to get involved and find ways to further YPC’s mission. And if a committee doesn’t sound right for you, become a YPC Ambassador and help welcome new members to the organization and urge them to attend a variety of YPC events.
