M-V-P! M-V-P! Partnership Launches Program to Connect Regional Champions with Prospective and New Residents
GREATER DES MOINES, IA (Sept. 17, 2024) – The Greater Des Moines Partnership has launched a new program to connect prospective and new residents with those who are involved and engaged in the community. The DSM MVPs are community champions from throughout the 11-county region who can give an inside look at living and working on Greater Des Moines (DSM).
This program aligns with The Partnership’s Do Something Greater talent attraction campaign, which has successfully drawn more than 369,000 users to The Partnership’s website since launching in March of 2023 and has added hundreds of people to the pipeline of potential residents who have expressed interest in relocating to the region. The DSM MVP program stems from research surveying people who moved to DSM within the past few years. A majority of respondents rated opportunities to make friends and connect to the community as important and the program is designed to be an entry point for those needs.
The DSM MVP program is also part of The Partnership’s Regional Community Integration Plan to further cultivate connections between communities in the 11-county region. DSM MVPs represent regional communities including Grinnell, West Des Moines, Norwalk and more. The Partnership will continue to recruit and add MVPs from across the region.
