Paint Your Mark: Participate in Spring Skywalk Paint-by-Numbers Mural Activation
GREATER DES MOINES, IA (March 5, 2025) – Workers, residents and visitors can add a splash of color to a new mural in the Downtown Des Moines (DSM) skywalk. The Greater Des Moines Partnership will be collaborating with local artist, Claire Sedovic, to bring to life the Spring Skywalk Paint-by-Numbers Mural. People of all skill levels are invited to participate in bringing the mural to life by helping paint between the lines.
Participants will have the opportunity to sign up for a 15-minute painting session where they will paint in collaboration with Sedovic. All materials needed to participate in painting the mural will be provided on-site. Participants do have the opportunity to sign up for multiple shifts.
The activation will be located at 700 Locust Street on the third level of the skywalk near Happy Home Coffee. The activation will take place over the course of two days:
Upon completion, painters can have their names included on the official art information plaque, which will be unveiled when the completed artwork opens to the public. The official unveiling will be announced at a later date.
