Winning Together as a Region

2025 Annual Dinner

November 22, 2024

On Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025, we will come together once again at the Greater Des Moines Partnership’s Annual Dinner — a time to celebrate our economic and community development successes, recognize the importance of our partnership connections and also take a look forward into the future of the 11-county Greater Des Moines (DSM) region.

Help Strengthen DSM Communities

This year, we are honored to welcome bestselling author, Dan Heath, as our keynote speaker. Heath's insights on fostering impactful change, as explored in bestsellers like “Switch” and “The Power of Moments,” are sure to inspire us to continue elevating our work and our region. His latest book coming out in January, “Reset: How to Change What’s Not Working,” is timely as we prepare to usher in fresh strategies for growth in 2025. I am confident his perspective will empower each of us to consider new ways to strengthen our organizations and our communities.

The evening will feature The Partnership’s Annual Report, highlighting the initiatives and collaborations that have shaped 2024. From advancing workforce development through initiatives such as the DSM Workforce Collaborative and the Legacy Project: Career Ready Collective to driving key economic projects and building the economic development pipeline to enhancing quality of life through placemaking, the event will underscore the strength of collective efforts across the region. These successes reflect the dedication of leaders in business, government and nonprofits, all working together to make DSM a vibrant and inclusive place to live and work.

The Annual Dinner offers more than an event, it’s a chance to ignite our shared vision for the future. With over 1,000 in attendance, it serves as a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when we come together behind common goals. This is our moment to reflect, recharge and embrace the opportunities that 2025 holds. You won’t want to miss it.

It has been an honor to work with all of you, and I can’t imagine a better way to conclude my time as Board Chair than celebrating together at the Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center. Join us in reflecting on the year, learning from our keynote speaker and embracing the possibilities for 2025 and beyond. Let’s make this a night to remember.
