Jester Park Makers Market: Locally Grown, Raised, Created

Fall Makers Market

October 10, 2024

Holiday markets and craft shows are a great way to shop for holiday gifts or something new for yourself all while supporting local businesses. Join us at Jester Park, in Granger, on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2024, from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. to find handcrafted gifts and goods in a beautiful park setting. With over 60 local makers, artisans and/or handcrafters you are bound to find something for everyone on your list. Below is a sneak peak of a few of the vendors you will find this year:

Makers Market Items

Shop These Makers Market Items

  • Meadow Blazing Star Honey: These beekeepers in Des Moines care for around 250 hives and sell 100% raw wildflower honey, creamed honey, handmade beeswax items and filtered beeswax, propolis and Northern-bred bees.
  • Valley View Farm: Shop beautiful evergreen wreathes, fall bulbs and peony roots (great time to plant!), potted amaryllis, shower swags and other garden-related items, and they may just have some flower arrangements for you to take home for the holiday, too.
  • Hand Me Down Talents: Find the bowl covers everyone loves along with aprons, unpaper towels, ornaments, bread bags and beeswax wraps.
  • Out of My Gourd: Check out the hand painted, wood burned and carved unique dried gourds. There are lots of seasonal ornaments, too!

While you are here, explore the nature center’s exhibits, relax on the back patio in an Adirondack chair by the fireplace, enjoy a hike on one of our trails or take in the lake view from the Lodge’s large deck!
