Hy-Vee Indycar Race Weekend: What You Need to Know

This weekend’s Hy-Vee INDYCAR Race Weekend promises high-speed action, live musical performances from the likes of Eric Church, Kelsea Ballerini and Post Malone. As you prepare to attend the racing series on July 12 – 14 at the Iowa Speedway, here are a few things to keep in mind to make it easy to enjoy the competition. From family-friendly events to meet-and-greets with drivers, there is plenty of fun to be had during Race Weekend.

Free Family Friday

On Friday, July 12, Free Family Friday returns. Planning to attend? You’ll have the opportunity to take part in these exciting events:

• Public Gates are open from 2 – 8:30 p.m.
• Practice with INDY NXT by Firestone from 1 – 2:15 p.m.
• Hy-Vee INDYCAR Race Weekend Practice – Group A from 2:45 – 3 p.m.
• Hy-Vee INDYCAR Race Weekend Practice – Group B from 3 – 3:15 p.m.
• Hy-Vee INDYCAR Race Weekend Practice – Full Field from 3:30 – 5 p.m.
• INDY NXT by Firestone Autograph Session from 4 – 4:30 p.m.
• Qualifying INDY NXT by Firestone from 5:30 – 6:15 p.m.
• NTT INDYCAR SERIES Autograph Session from 6:15 – 7:15 p.m.
• Pit Stop Challenge from 7:30 – 8:30 p.m.

Hy-Vee INDYCAR Race Weekend on Saturday, July 13

• Public Gates are open from 12:30 – 11 p.m.
• INDY NXT by Firestone at 1:15 p.m.
• Qualifying for both INDYCAR Races from 2:45 – 3:45 p.m.
• Pre-Race Concert featuring Luke Combs at 4:15 p.m.
• Hy-Vee Homefront 250 presented by Instacart at 7:06 p.m.
• Post-Race Concert featuring Eric Church at 9:30 p.m.

Hy-Vee INDYCAR Race Weekend on Sunday, July 14

• Public Gates are open from 9:30 a.m. – 5:15 p.m.
• Hy-Vee One Step 250 presented by Gatorade at 11:30 a.m.
• Post-Race Concert featuring Kelsea Ballerini at 2 p.m.
• Post-Race Concert featuring Post Malone at 3:45 p.m.

Ticket Gate Re-Entry

Guests must have valid tickets scanned on re-entry through Iowa Speedway ticket gates.

Parking

There are several parking areas outside the track, including for motorcycles and ADA parking. Paid event parking is available daily in the Fenceline Lot and Lot N. Automobile pass carriers may enter lots two hours before gates open, but remember, vehicles cannot be left overnight, or they will be towed. Hy-Vee Mini Markets

During Hy-Vee INDYCAR Race Weekend, be sure to visit one of the Hy-Vee Mini Markets being offered this year. There are two locations: RV Hill Hy-Vee Mini Market and General Campground Hy-Vee Mini Market, both of which you order from and utilize grocery pickup services using Hy-Vee Aisles Online.
