Here's How to Take Part in the 2018 Des Moines Corporate Games
In this cold weather, are you thinking about summer? I am, and you should be too. Look ahead to June and July of 2018 when the third annual Des Moines Corporate Games (DMCG) will take place.
Remember the Golden Circle Games? DMCG is a bigger, better version with eight weeks of competition, including twenty-six team sports, individual competitions, and non-competitive events. There is even a Burst Your Thirst Challenge that can be completed within your daily office routine. All in the name of company pride and bragging rights as companies work their way to the top of their division’s leaderboard.
Over 5,000 employees from 45 companies competed in 2017, and participation is expected to grow next summer. No company is too big or small. Divisions are created based on general company size, so a company of 25 has just as much chance to win as a company of 7,000.
Des Moines Corporate Games Feedback
Comments from some of our 2017 winners really say it all:
“The Corporate Games provide a fun way to include a large number of people in healthy exercise. With more than 230 participants from Pioneer, the games also provide opportunities for employees to meet and build relationships with colleagues in different departments,” said Kara Bahr, DuPont Health and Wellness manager. “DuPont Pioneer employees have shown great teamwork, participation and performance, and I’m proud to work with such motivated people.”
Bob McGowen, partner at McGowen, Hurst, Clark, and Smith P.C. personally competed in 14 events, which he said helped “reignite the spark to exercise and to try new things.” He went on to say, “Our entire firm’s efforts in the Des Moines Corporate Games is a bright indicator of who we are and the culture we nurture each day at MHC&S. For me, the Des Moines Corporate Games gave me the platform to become more active.”
