Blank Park Zoo STEM Box

Do you know someone who loves to explore? Give the gift of learning with Blank Park Zoo’s Stem Box — individually per month or bi-monthly for a year — subscription in 2021. Featured boxes are broken out into age categories, including the Mini Holiday Gift Box, which includes a STEM project, animal art (paw-made ornament), a note from the animal artist and a link to an exclusive virtual keeper chat. The Mini Holiday Gift Box must be purchased by Tuesday, December 15 to receive by Christmas.

#DSMlocal Box

Great Outdoor Foundation Seasonal Subscription Boxes

By purchasing the Seasonal Subscription from Great Outdoors Foundation, you’ll learn about places you may not be familiar with in the DSM area. Purchase all four seasonal subscription boxes (the Fall Foliage Box is still available) or the single Winter Wonderland Box. The Winter Wonderland Box pickup date is Thursday, January 7, 2021. Other boxes include: Spring has Sprung (April pickup) and Summertime & the Livin’s Easy (July pickup).

The Des Moines Community Playhouse offers an adult option and an option for children for the “Playhouse Party in a Box.” Each box is outlined below:

Playhouse Party in a Box (Adults)

For $65, you will receive a link to the Des Moines Community Playhouse special New Year’s Eve celebration featuring famous and familiar performers and a fund balloon drop, a commemorative glass champagne flute, LaMarca Prosecco mini bottle, Stam chocolate box, party hat, noisemaker and party “popper” included in the box.

The adult box includes a link to The Playhouse New Year’s Eve cabaret video-on-demand. The family celebration video includes songs from children’s shows and interactive fun to ring in 2021.

For $35, you will receive a link to the Des Moines Community Playhouse special New Year’s Eve celebration featuring famous and familiar performers and a fund balloon drop, a commemorative glass champagne flute, Stam chocolate box, sparkling cider, snacks, theater-oriented activities for the entire family, party hat, noisemaker, party “popper” and balloons to blow up for your at-home balloon drop. Orders can be placed here, and must be picked up between 3-6 p.m. Monday, December 28 or Tuesday, December 29.
