As one of Des Moines' (DSM's) most prominent events, The Market is proud to promote local nonprofits. The Saturday Salute Program provides local nonprofit and charitable organizations a venue to promote learning opportunities, events and community resources each Saturday.
The Downtown Farmers’ Market would not be possible without the support provided by generous sponsors. Each year, organizations like UnityPoint Health – Des Moines, First Interstate Bank, Polk County, DART and many more help bring this proud Iowa tradition to life.

Each Saturday, during Market season, community volunteers team up with us to collect farm fresh food donations from vendors as part of our Meals from The Market program. The food is distributed to DMARC’s 13 local food pantries, where it benefits those in our community facing the need for food.
