Say Hello to Tacos Tarascos

The Downtown Farmers’ Market welcomes a variety of vendors through October 2021. This October, Say Hello to featured vendor, Tacos Tarascos, where you can try delicious authentic Mexican flavors with entrees like tacos, quesadillas, tortas and burritos. The local business also has a location in Merle Hay Mall off of Douglas in Des Moines.

Say Hello to Tacos Tarascos! Jose, his wife Yolanda, daughters and grandson were all busy making their street tacos, burritos, breakfast combos and grilled cheese sandwiches at the Market last Saturday. Jose’s daughter Griselda talked to us between customers about their business. Jose owns a taco truck and two years ago became a Market vendor. The family enjoys seeing all the people who are excited to eat their food. We asked what new customers should try first and Griselda suggested the burrito! They can be made with your choice of chorizo, asada (steak), bacon, ham or sausage. Say Hello and grab some breakfast from Tacos Tarascos the next time you’re at the Market, Saturdays from 8 a.m. to Noon through October.
