Say Hello to Papillon

The Downtown Farmers’ Market welcomes a variety of vendors through October 2021. This September, Say Hello to featured food vendor, Papillon. The Bosnian-style food booth serves up favorite dishes in the Historic Court District of Downtown Des Moines (DSM).

About Papillon

Say Hello to Papillon! Husband and wife team Dzehvid (you might know him as Joe) and Rada Radmila have been making Bosnian food at the Market for about 13 years. They serve beef or spinach and cheese pitas, chicken kabobs, cevapi with homemade pita and salad and cabbage rolls. We caught up with some Marketgoers from Ankeny and Texas who said the pitas were fabulous. Check it out for yourself and Say Hello to Papillion when you are at the Market, Saturdays until Noon!

You can find the prepared food booth at various locations at the Market every Saturday through Oct. 30.

From May to October, experience local artists, live music and entertainment at the Downtown Farmers’ Market featuring nearly 300 family farmers, bakers, artists and crafters from around the state. It’s easy to visit with plentiful and affordable street and ramp parking options.
