Say Hello to Dogpatch Urban Gardens

The Downtown Farmers’ Market welcomes a variety of vendors through October 2021. In July, Say Hello to featured produce vendor, Dogpatch Urban Gardens, a family-run farm passionate about health and the Greater Des Moines (DSM) community. Following the mantra, "Grow better, not bigger," Dogpatch Urban Gardens focuses on small-scale farming advantages.

About Dogpatch Urban Gardens

You never know what kind of hummus or chia pudding you might find from owners Eric and Jenny. The flavor depends on what’s in season — sweet potato hummus and cinnamon and apple chia pudding were available in June. They also sell fresh produce, salad dressing (the Lemon Garlic Vinaigrette is Eric’s favorite) and a salad enhancer. Make sure to tell them hello when you head to the Market Saturday, open from 7 a.m. until Noon!

From May to October, experience local artists, live music and entertainment at the Downtown Farmers’ Market featuring nearly 300 family farmers, bakers, artists and crafters from around the state. It’s easy to visit with plentiful and affordable street and ramp parking options.
