Joy Hankins

Joy Hankins is the Founder of The Joy of Curls, a plant-based textured hair care and styling education brand. After being told there is a need for black families as foster parents, Joy began a personal mission to support this community in multiple ways. The Joy of Curls is family owned and operated, and was founded in Des Moines in 2021.
