Say Hello to Prairie Lake Acres

The Downtown Farmers’ Market welcomes a variety of vendors through October 2021. This August, Say Hello to featured produce vendor, Prairie Lake Acres. The local sixth-generation family farm is part of the Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) and is in the process of continuing to grow using organic practices. Prairie Lake Acres seeks to inspire by acquiring organic certification in 2022.

Say Hello to Prairie Lake Acres and farm owners Corrine and Luke. Two years ago, they left their day jobs and started farming in Pella. This is their first year at the Market and they have enjoyed meeting customers and hearing their stories. Visit their booth for a variety of produce including kale, lettuce, bok choy, peppers, potatoes, tomatoes, beets, cantaloupes and cut flowers! Give them a warm welcome by stopping to Say Hello when you’re at the Market, Saturdays from 7 a.m. to Noon!
